Emirates Breeders Program round 1 (Sweden)

Emirates Breeders Program is now in its third season of sponsoring the series in Sweden reaching out to the grass roots of arabian racing. It consists of four races with an added premium for the first locally bred horse home in each of them.
This year the pandemic scare has taken its toll on racing and it's wonderful sponsors even through such times continue to support arabian breeding and racing wordwide. The optimism is there and this year's round one of the EBP races attracted eight swedish breds and one dutch bred. Most of them youngsters with just one previous run under the belt and that one month before in the same race. On that occasion OAS Marco had finished well behind the other first timers CR Yaqzhaan and Roslyn with the more seasoned Wellington among the last ones to cross the line.
In this first Emirates Breeders Program race of the season the Onsala bred OAS Marco (Dahess - Madora /Dormane) seemed to have gained most from the experience and with Yaqzhaan fading, he wore down Roslyn down the straight only to stave off a late attack by Wellington, making it a double for their trainer Charlotte Goss.
