ENTRIES HIGH FOR SULTANATE OF OMAN RACEDAY AT WINDSOR

Arabian Racing Organisation Ltd.

The Arabian Racing Organisation (ARO) was delighted with the 86 entries received this morning for the Sultanate of Oman Raceday to be held at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Bank Holiday Monday, 28th August. The annual raceday supports six races as part of the Royal Cavalry of Oman’s sponsorship, with a seventh race run under the banner of the Heritage Arabian Racing Club.

ARO Racing Operations Executive Gemma Cobb commented: “We are thrilled with the high number entries for the Royal Cavalry’s annual day which concludes their very generous support during the 2017 season.

“The Royal Cavalry’s sponsorship, which they increased in 2016, got off to a successful start this year with six of eight races at our Taunton fixture, followed by our longest premier handicap, run over two miles, at Doncaster. Next were two handicaps at Bath and we are looking forward to the Group 3 Royal Cavalry of Oman Clarendon Stakes, to be run at Newbury this Saturday, for which declarations are due tomorrow.

She concluded: “This has always been a popular fixture at Windsor, and we thank them and the racecourse teams at Taunton, Doncaster, Bath and Newbury for their support of the Royal Cavalry’s race sponsorship in 2017.”
